CoachSigns iOS app
App Support
The CoachSigns app pairs your iPhone or iPad to your Coach Base over Bluetooth and opens your coaching screen. If something is not working, here are the most common fixes. If none of these help, send us a note via the contact form and we will reply within 24 hours.
Pairing your Coach Base
- Power on your Coach Base. It starts on the BLUETOOTH pairing screen, which shows a QR code. It stays there for about two minutes, or until a device pairs.
- Open the CoachSigns app and tap Pair new base, then Scan pairing QR.
- Allow camera access when iOS prompts.
- Point the camera at the QR code on the base's screen. Use the zoom button or pinch to fill the frame if you need to.
- The app pairs with your base and your coaching screen opens. If your phone shows a quick Bluetooth pairing request, tap Pair.
If the base's screen has moved on from the BLUETOOTH screen, press the button on the front of the base once to bring it back.
Connecting after that
Once your base is paired, you don't need to do anything special — open the CoachSigns app and it reconnects to your base over Bluetooth automatically.
The status dot at the top-left of the app shows your connection: green means you're connected. Tap the dot to see how you're connected — Cable, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi.
Using more than one phone or tablet
If you coach with more than one device, you only pair once. As long as both devices are signed in to the same Apple ID with iCloud Keychain enabled (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Passwords and Keychain), your base pairing syncs automatically and the second device connects on its own. The app lists every paired phone and tablet under Settings → Paired Devices.
Troubleshooting
The app can't find my base
- Make sure the base is showing the BLUETOOTH screen — the one with the QR code. If it has moved on, press the button on the front of the base once to bring it back.
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on for your iPhone or iPad.
- Move closer to the base and try again.
The QR code won't scan
- Hold the camera steady, about 4–6 inches from the base's screen.
- Tap the zoom button, or pinch, to make the QR code fill the frame.
- If the lighting is harsh, tilt the base slightly to cut the glare on its screen.
Updating firmware
One-time watch setup: some watch updates are installed by CoachSigns in person — your watches can't pick those up on their own. It's a quick, one-time setup, and once it's done you can do all future watch updates yourself from the app. Contact us to schedule. Always update your watches before your base.
Free updates for your base and watches live in Settings → Firmware — tap Update when one is available. During a base update, iOS may briefly ask you to join the base's Wi-Fi network; tap Join. The app turns Wi-Fi back off when the update finishes.
Re-pairing or removing a base
To stop using a base, or to pair again from scratch, open Settings → Paired Devices in the app and tap Stop next to the base.
Privacy
The app does not collect or send any data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
